American filmmaker, actor, playwright and producer Tyler Perry has revealed that he has no plans to get married, saying his biggest concern is not marriage itself but the financial consequences of divorce.
Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Perry said he has watched people who were financially successful lose their wealth following divorce, making him more comfortable with remaining single.
“It’s not the marriage that bothers me. It’s the divorce. Everybody that I know that did well and went broke, it was because of a divorce, so I’m good just being free,” he said.
