Nigerian singer Mr Real has weighed in on the legal troubles facing dancer and entertainer Poco Lee, urging his mother to pay closer attention to what he described as an unusual situation surrounding her son.
In a video shared on Instagram on Monday, September 7, Mr Real, whose real name is Okafor Uchenna Victor, asked anyone in contact with Poco Lee’s mother to relay a message to her, claiming that the dancer was “under attack”.
“Whoever is in contact with Poco Lee’s mother should give her this message. Your son is under attack. The issue Poco Lee is facing is not ordinary and I believe it happened because of negligence,” he said.
Mr Real further suggested that Poco Lee’s mother may have noticed warning signs before the current crisis but allegedly failed to act on them.
“His mother may have seen signs before now but perhaps she ignored them,” he added.
The comments come amid Poco Lee’s ongoing legal proceedings in the United Kingdom. Snaresbrook Crown Court has confirmed that the dancer faces five sexual offence charges, including two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration. He is scheduled to appear before the court on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation. ([Premium Times Nigeria][1])
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations remain subject to determination by the UK courts. His management has also urged the public to exercise restraint, stressing that allegations should not be treated as proof of guilt. ([Premium Times Nigeria][1])
Mr Real’s intervention has nevertheless sparked reactions online, particularly because he framed the dancer’s situation in spiritual terms and suggested that negligence may have contributed to the difficulties he is currently facing.
