Social media activist VeryDarkMan has issued a strong warning to the organisers of South African singer Tyla’s planned Lagos concert, calling for the show to be cancelled amid ongoing concerns over xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.
In a video shared on Facebook, VDM said the concert would not be allowed to go ahead, arguing that Tyla should not profit from Nigerian fans while Nigerians continue to face hostility in South Africa.
He specifically referenced the legal battle involving Nigerian-South African model Chidinma Adetshina, saying the situation made Tyla’s planned Nigerian performance particularly insensitive.
VDM warned that if the organisers proceed with the concert, protesters would show up at the venue and attempt to stop the event.
His comments come amid calls from some Nigerians for a boycott of the concert as a form of protest against alleged xenophobic treatment of Nigerians in South Africa.
Tyla’s tour schedule reportedly lists Lagos for **December 22, 2026**, setting the stage for a potentially explosive clash between the concert organisers and activists opposed to the event.
