Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has shared his unconventional take on modern romance, revealing that he gave his wife his first major ₦100 million cheque as a gesture of love.
Speaking on *The Morayo Show*, the 65-year-old actor described himself as an “incurable romantic” before joking that romance has moved beyond the days of flowers and chocolates.
RMD recalled that when he received the biggest cheque of his career, worth about ₦100 million, he simply told his wife to keep it for herself. He said she initially thought he wanted her to save the money for their children, but he clarified that it was entirely hers.
Beyond the money talk, RMD also reflected on turning 65, describing every additional year as a blessing because his parents did not live to see 60. He credited healthy living and a positive mindset for helping him maintain his youthful appearance.
