Singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has reacted to speculation that he has reconciled with his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
The rumours began after old videos of the former couple sharing affectionate moments at a nightclub resurfaced online, prompting social media users to speculate that they had rekindled their relationship.
However, 2Baba appeared to dismiss the speculation in a brief reaction, saying, “Abeg, na old video o.”
Annie had earlier addressed the reports on social media, insisting that the videos were old and were being circulated out of context.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
She later reiterated her position in a Snapchat update, again writing, “Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere.”
The latest development has now put further doubt on the reconciliation rumours, with both 2Baba and Annie making it clear that the viral footage does not reflect their current relationship status.
