Afrobeats superstar Davido has given fans a glimpse into his personal style and marriage, revealing that despite his love for luxury fashion, his wedding ring remains the most valuable item he owns.
Speaking in an interview with Mystery Fashionist, the singer listed the five fashion essentials he never travels without, placing his wedding ring above every other luxury accessory.
“My wedding ring is my most precious, most important piece of jewellery because I have a vow to follow. A ring is a symbol to show I have a partner. Stay away, I’m taken.”
Davido revealed that his travel essentials include his American passport, Bottega headphones, an 18 karat Rolex wristwatch, his wedding ring and a Cuban link chain weighing over a kilogram, which he said is worth nearly one million dollars.
The singer explained that his passion for fashion began long before fame, adding that while he now relies on a stylist because of his busy schedule, his love for looking good has remained unchanged.
“I like to look good. Since I was young, I like to go shopping. I don’t have the time now, so I have my stylist.”
Davido also spoke affectionately about his wife, Chioma, revealing that she is always on his mind whenever he goes shopping.
“I bought my wife some heels the other day. Every time I enter a shop, trust me, I’m leaving with something for my wife. She’s the reason I do all these.”
