D’Tigers Draw Cameroon, South Sudan, Cabo Verde in FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

Nigeria’s team, D’Tigers has been drawn in Group E alongside Cameroon, South Sudan, Cabo Verde, Tunisia and Guinea for the FIBA Basketball World Cup the African qualifiers.
The Nigerian side will begin the race with a clash against regional rivals Cameroon on August 27. D’Tigers before facing South Sudan on August 28, and rounding off the first phase of the qualifiers against Cabo Verde on August 30.
Elsewhere in the group, Guinea will face South Sudan while Tunisia takes on Cabo Verde on the opening day. On August 28, Cameroon will battle Tunisia, with Cabo Verde meeting Guinea, before the opening window concludes on August 30 with Guinea taking on Cameroon and Tunisia facing South Sudan.
Nigeria enters the campaign with an impressive recent record against two of its opening opponents. D’Tigers have won three of their previous four meetings with Cameroon and remain unbeaten against South Sudan, having emerged victorious in both previous encounters between the sides.
