Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has sparked fresh conversations online after sharing tips on surviving a narcissist, amid growing speculation about the state of her marriage to husband, Bobby Maris.
The rumours began after social media users noticed that the couple allegedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. The speculation intensified following a cryptic post by Bobby Maris, who wrote that “the crown of a husband is not fit for every woman’s head.”
Earlier, an audio recording, alleged to be a heated conversation between the couple, surfaced on anonymous gossip blogs. The authenticity of the recording has not been independently verified.
The speculation further gained momentum after Uche shared a series of emotional posts on her Instagram Story, expressing frustration about marriage.
“For person to tire for marriage now na taboo because na woman? Must it always be man must tire? My tired is tired! I am tired of the princess wey dey marry me.
“To be happy as a woman in marriage na by connection in this country. I no do again na sin? Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber ooo! Eight years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe six feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me well.”
Reacting to the growing reports circulating online, the actress also warned bloggers against publishing unverified stories.
“All these bloggers, be collecting receipts ooo! No dey post fake news. Ask for receipts because I come correct with receipts. I’m not my predecessors.”
Most recently, Uche shared posts highlighting signs of narcissistic behaviour and offering advice on how to deal with narcissists, a move that has further fueled speculation about the state of her relationship.
The couple have been together for years, but officially married for 3 years with two lovely kids.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Uche Ogbodo nor Bobby Maris has officially confirmed or denied reports of a separation or breakup.
