Nigerian comedian Warri Pikin has praised the Nigeria Police Force for securing the release of the kidnapped sister and nephews of a former Minister of Power, while urging authorities to intensify efforts to rescue schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
The victims were reportedly kidnapped on June 2 and regained their freedom on June 6 following efforts by security operatives.
Reacting to the development, Warri Pikin commended the police for what she described as a swift and successful rescue operation, noting that the outcome offers hope to families affected by similar incidents across the country.
However, she appealed to security agencies not to relent, calling for the same level of urgency and commitment in the ongoing search for the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
According to the comedian, if one rescue mission could be executed successfully within a short period, other victims of kidnapping deserve the same attention and determination from authorities.
Her comments add to the growing public calls for stronger action against kidnapping and insecurity, as many Nigerians continue to demand the safe return of those still being held captive.
