Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about marriage, motherhood and her strong desire to have a daughter following her reported fallout with former husband Ned Nwoko.

Speaking candidly, the actress revealed that she has mentally checked out of getting married again but remains determined to eventually have a girl child.

“I have checked my mind out of getting married again, but I am yet to have a girl, and I must have a girl,” she said.

Regina Daniels explained that becoming a mother to boys changed her perspective on parenting and made her realise how deeply she desired a daughter.

According to her, raising boys feels easier because fathers can naturally become their role models, while raising a girl requires a mother to personally embody the example she wants her daughter to follow.

“Having boys is easy; at least you teach them to have a role model figure as a father, but for the girl child, you have to be the role model,” she stated.

The actress further reflected on the emotional connection daughters often maintain with their family homes even after marriage.

“A girl child remembers home. For men, they grow up, get married, and build their family, but women will always remember home,” she added.

Her emotional reflection has now fueled conversations beyond celebrity gossip, with many women online quietly relating to the fear of failed marriages, the longing for daughters and the complicated emotions that often come with starting over after heartbreak.
