Nigerian actor and online matchmaker Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has stirred conversations online after making comments about Igbo political leadership and the future of Nigeria’s presidency.
Speaking in a viral video over the weekend, Lege Miami called on Igbo people across the country to pay close attention to his message, stressing that Igbos and Yorubas should see themselves as one and live peacefully together.
According to him, the Yoruba ethnic group currently has a unified political leader in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while the Igbo people allegedly lack a united political figure.
He further claimed that the only Igbo politician “trying to rise” politically is being heavily criticized and opposed by fellow Igbos.
Lege Miami went on to suggest that Igbo people should support whoever the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, supports politically.
According to him, Wike is currently the Igbo politician on the “right path” and could eventually position the South East for a future presidential opportunity through the support of President Tinubu.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating ethnicity, political loyalty and the future of power rotation in the country.
