Popular Nigerian singer Chike has set social media abuzz after posting a cryptic message in the middle of swirling rumours linking him to the collapse of broadcaster Frank Edoho’s second marriage.

The soulful music star stirred fresh reactions online after writing a short but emotional post on his X account: “Pity my soul.”

The message came days after unverified reports surfaced alleging that Chike was romantically involved with Sandra Onyenucheya, the estranged wife of Frank Edoho.

The controversy follows Edoho’s public confirmation that his second marriage had crashed — a painful experience the veteran television host previously described as “devastating.”

Speaking recently on the failed union and rumours of infidelity, Edoho said he had become comfortable being alone and no longer had plans to enter another committed relationship.

As the online speculation intensified, fans also noticed that Chike restricted comments on his Instagram page, further fuelling conversations across social media.

However, the singer has not directly addressed the allegations or confirmed whether his cryptic “Pity my soul” post was connected to the controversy.

Chike, whose full name is Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, first gained national attention after participating in the reality music competition Project Fame in 2015.

He later emerged first runner-up on The Voice Nigeria in 2016 before launching his music career with his debut single, “Fancy.”

The 33-year-old entertainer has since built a loyal fan base with his emotional love songs and smooth vocals, becoming one of the most recognisable voices in Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.

Beyond music, Chike has also made notable appearances in Nollywood productions, including Gangs of Lagos and Battleground.
