Nigerian music star Davido has officially stepped into the political scene in Osun State after announcing his involvement in the Imole Youth Mobilization Campaign Council ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in August.
In a statement shared on May 6, 2026, the singer revealed that he had officially been inaugurated into the campaign council and had also received his membership card of the Accord Party in Osun State on the 5th of May 2026.
Davido expressed confidence in the re election chances of the current governor, praising the administration as one deeply loved by the people of the state.
According to him, if all things remain fair, the election would be “a walk over.”
The singer, who has consistently shown support for his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, also ended his message on a hopeful note, praying for a successful outcome in the upcoming polls.
