Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, once a visible face in the City Boy Movement, is now at the centre of a real-life thriller, with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) placing her on its wanted list over alleged fraud.

In a notice that reads more like a casting call for a high-stakes crime drama, the anti-graft agency says Tejuosho is being sought in connection with an investigation into obtaining money by false pretence. Her last known address? Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja… But for now, she’s off the radar.

The EFCC is calling on the public to play detective: anyone with clues to her whereabouts is urged to step forward.

But this isn’t her first brush with the spotlight. Back in June 2025, Tejuosho reportedly faced interrogation over what insiders describe as an “appointment-for-cash” saga, a scheme where hopeful job seekers were allegedly sold dreams of federal government placements. Fake appointment letters, forged documents, and big promises reportedly formed the props of the operation.

Said to be the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, she had earlier secured administrative bail while investigations continued, in a plot twist that, at the time, suggested the story might quietly fade. Clearly, it didn’t.

Meanwhile, the City Boy Movement has wasted no time in distancing itself from the unfolding drama. In a swift move, the group announced her suspension as South-West zonal coordinator of its women’s wing, citing the need to protect its image.

In plain terms: the show must go on, but without one of its former stars.

As the EFCC tightens its search, what happens next remains to be seen. For now, this unfolding saga blends politics, power, and alleged deception into a storyline that’s gripping attention far beyond its original stage.
