Basketmouth has never been known for predictable show promotions, and this time, he has decided to sell his message the way Nigerians understand best, with storytelling that sounds suspiciously like a sermon.
In a video that felt less like comedy and more like a Sunday morning reflection, the ace comedian spoke on the importance of thanksgiving, and no, there were no punchlines flying, just lessons wrapped in humour, the Basketmouth way.
According to him, he recently gave out Christmas bonuses to about 60 of his employees, a generous gesture that, understandably, earned him goodwill, but what truly caught his attention was what followed: only two employees returned the favour, showing appreciation with gift hampers.
That moment, he said, made him pause.
Those two gestures, small as they were, stirred something deeper: a desire to do even more for them. Just like that, Basketmouth connected the dots, likening his reaction to how God responds when people show gratitude. Not because He lacks anything, but because thanksgiving shifts perspective.
