Delta APC Leaders Reaffirm Loyalty to Tinubu, Oborevwori, Set 2027 Victory Agenda

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District on Sunday gathered at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, where they pledged unwavering loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The high-level strategy session, which drew senior government officials, party executives, community leaders, and grassroots mobilisers, focused on strengthening unity, discipline, and organisational cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections. Discussions centred on reinforcing the party’s internal structure, boosting collaboration across all tiers, and preparing for what was described as a pivotal election year.
Moving the motion of loyalty—seconded by Chief Andrew Oru—the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, praised President Tinubu for significant gains in national security and economic stability. He said Nigeria was “beginning to record improved security,” crediting the progress to the President’s renewed anti-insecurity drive.
Keyamo also lauded Governor Oborevwori for what he described as unmatched infrastructural development across the state. He urged party members to stay united as APC congresses draw near, warning aspirants that no candidate would obtain the party’s ticket “from Abuja” without the blessing of grassroots leaders. Loyalty, alignment, and respect for party structures, he insisted, remain essential to victory.
State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, highlighted the ongoing political realignment from the PDP to the APC in Delta State. He emphasised the need for deep grassroots engagement and the involvement of respected elders, urging members to stay resilient and prepared for political battles as the party targets a landslide win.
Delta Central APC Chairman, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, cautioned against indiscipline, factional allegiance, and parallel structures, describing the district as the party’s “political engine room.” He declared that “Delta State APC has only one leader—His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,” adding that any loyalty outside the recognised structure would not be tolerated.
Akpeki unveiled new measures to strengthen the party, including mandatory monthly senatorial meetings rotating across the eight LGAs, and the establishment of a Delta Central APC Caucus Committee for strategic planning, conflict resolution, mobilisation, and performance monitoring. Delta Central APC, he said, must operate as “one family, one leadership, and one direction,” insisting that victory in 2027 was non-negotiable.
Senator Ede Dafinone; Hon. Ejiro Waive; NEXIM Bank Executive Director, Stella Okotete; Chief Solomon Igrakpata; and Chief Andrew Oru echoed the same message, underscoring unity as the party’s strongest weapon.
Local Government APC Chairmen present pledged full mobilisation to deliver overwhelming votes for President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and all APC candidates in 2027.
At the end of the meeting, leaders restated their resolve to reposition Delta Central APC into a disciplined, united, and formidable political bloc capable of sweeping the 2027 elections.
