Delta Gov’s Wife Preaches Collaboration Among Royal Mothers

The Wife of the Delta Governor, Mrs Tobore Oborevwori, has called on the wives of the traditional rulers in the state to unite, support one another, and pray for the prosperity of their kingdoms, state and the country.
Oborevwori, the founder of the “You Matter Charity Foundation, made the call on Friday night during the end-of-year banquet, organised by her office, in honour of the women, commonly known as Queens.
The event, which held at the Government House, Asaba, brought together queens from different kingdoms for an all-evening fellowship, reflection, and celebration.
In an address of welcome, Oborevwori conveyed the goodwill of her husband, Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori to them.
She expressed happiness that the forum provided an opportunity for them to joyfully gather at the close of the year.
“I thank God for granting us the privilege to celebrate the end of this year together.
“The beauty of today’s event is evident in how radiant and healthy everyone looks, a reflection of the peace and progress in our towns and kingdoms,” Oborevwori said.
She commended the queens for their dedication and consistent communication with her office.
She said that their interactions aligned with the administration’s development-focused vision.
Oborevwori urged them to mobilise women in their communities to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration.
She said that active political participation remains vital to amplifying women’s voices and shaping decisions that affect their daily lives.
She further encouraged them to remain united, prayerful, and mutually supportive.
She affirmed that her office remained open to them and expressed optimism for continued collaboration with them in future engagements.
“I pray that your strength will not fail, your reign will be peaceful, and the Lord prospers the work of your hands,” she said.
The governor’s wife paid special tribute to three queen’s that passed on during the year.
“My deepest condolences go to their families and kingdoms,” she said.
Responding on behalf of her colleagues, the wife of the traditional ruler of Ozoro Kingdom, Ofejiro Ogbogbo, described the banquet as an invaluable platform for them to step outside their domains and bond socially at the seat of power.
Ogbogbo assured the governor’s wife of their unwavering support for the present administration in the state.
