The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee will meet Monday in Abuja with Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle.
It was gathered that the main focus of the meeting will be the Super Eagles preparations and final squad for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
The federation is under pressure to win the African soccer fiesta to calm tension, following the country’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, the second in a row.
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has confirmed that each participating country will be allowed to register a final squad of 28 players for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to CAF, the expanded list is designed to help teams better manage player fitness, injuries, workload and potential health-related concerns during the month-long event.
The continent’s soccer governing body further stated that each national team can also include up to 17 members of technical staff for the competition.
Nigeria are drawn in Group C of the 2025 AFCON in Fez alongside 2026 World Cup qualifiers Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda.
They open their Morocco ’25 on December 23 against Tanzania.
