2027: Gov. Alia Hails Tiv Supreme Council’s Endorsement, Pledges Continued Good Governance

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia of Benue has commended the Supreme Council of the Tiv Nation in the state for endorsing him for a second term in office ahead of 2027 general elections.
Alia, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, on Sunday in Makurdi, said he was humbled by the endorsement.
The governor said that the endorsement showed that his administration was on track to reposition the state.
Alia appreciated the council for identifying and acknowledging the tremendous work done so far in transforming the state on the path of development, peace, and prosperity.
“This historic pronouncement and unique gesture, coming from the apex traditional authority of the Tiv Nation, is both humbling and deeply inspiring.
“It represents an overwhelming vote of confidence in my leadership, integrity, and the transformative strides already being witnessed across the state under my administration.
”This endorsement by the Tiv Supreme Council reaffirms the unity, wisdom, and foresight of our revered traditional institution.
“t is also a testament to the collective resolve of the Tiv people and indeed all Benue citizens to consolidate on the progress we are making and to ensure continuity of good governance,” he said.
The governor also said that the endorsement would strengthen his dedication to serve with greater zeal, humility, and accountability.
“Together, as the Almighty God continues to reign, we will forge ahead to make Benue a land of peace, progress, and shared prosperity,” he said.
Alia said he remained committed to his covenant with the people to rebuild, renew, and restore the state with transparency, equity, and compassion.
