The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) has unveiled a new identity and inaugurated a fresh board.
The association unveiled its new identity
on Saturday during the gala night which was part of a three-day retreat in Abeokuta.
It also inaugurated its Board of Trustees and reviewed and ratified its constitution at the program.
According to the President of the association, Rasheed Bolarinwa, it will now be known as Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks while retaining its acronym as ACAMB.
Bolarinwa noted that the new identity is more than just a name change but expansion of the association’s mandate.
He added that the evolution symbolises a strategic expansion of the association’s mandate of embracing marketing, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and reputation management, alongside corporate communication.
“It is the formal expression of what ACAMB has already become: a coalition of innovators and leaders who shape narratives, influence trust, and connect banking to the heartbeat of the Nigerian people.
“We are no longer just communication officers — we are bridge-builders, storytellers, and reputation stewards; ensuring that our industry’s impact is seen, felt, and understood,” he said.
Bolarinwa whose tenure will end in January, 2026 thanked the members for the opportunity to serve the association.
He praised members of the board for their achievements in the banking sector while assuring their commitment towards helping the federal government achieve its one trillion dollars economy.
“The banking industry has evolved and we’ll play our parts to ensure banking penetration gets to the least person on the prosperity ladder,” he said.
He said the gala night was a renewal to reinstate a legacy of a 15 years renaissance.
According to him, “after over 15 years of break the event is back on track, reigniting the association’s shared sense of purpose, learning, and unity as communicators and storytellers of the Nigerian banking industry.”
