The National Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to Door Movement, Mr Sunday Asuku, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and collective growth as the nation marks its 65th independence anniversary.
He made the call yesterday while addressing newsmen on the sidelines of a really organised by the movement to mark the anniversary celebration in Abuja.
Asuku urged all Nigerians to shun corruption, banditry and insecurity for the country to attain its rightful place in the comity of nations.
According to him, Nigeria’s greatness can only be achieved when citizens work together to overcome corruption, insecurity and other challenges threatening national progress.
He further appealed for widespread support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which offered a clear roadmap for development, stability and prosperity.
“We want to enjoin all Nigerians to continue to promote unity, peace, growth and development, without which, we cannot go places.
“Without this, Nigeria cannot be great, but if we are all united, if we can shun corruption, if we can shun banditry, if you can shun insecurity, Nigeria shall be great again.
“On this occasion of our 65th anniversary, we urge Nigerians to please come together to make us one, let us be one, let us forge ahead, there must be a way forward.
“Let us support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, for Nigeria. Until we do this, Nigeria will be where it is; but if we come together in unity, I can bet it with you that we are going places,” he said.
Asuku paid tribute to fallen heroes, the champions of Nigeria’s independence and all past leaders that contributed to Nigeria’s growth since 1960.
