The United States Mission in Nigeria has again stated that review of visa applications in the embassy is done thoroughly and fairly.
It also clarified that visa fees are non-refundable.
The Mission stated this in response to questions surrounding the non-refundable nature of US visa fees.
According to the Mission, the policy aligns with global practices.
The Embassy also noted that fees cover application costs regardless of approval.
In a statement on its X handle yesterday, the Mission assured Nigerians that each case is reviewed thoroughly and fairly.
The statement read: “We hear your concerns regarding US visa application fees. Like most countries, US visa fees cover the cost of processing the application, regardless of the outcome.
“While fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, each application is reviewed thoroughly and fairly.”
