Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) Yola has commenced consultation services at Shagari Primary Healthcare Centre, Yola-North Local Government Area.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Prof. Adamu Bakari, made this known on Saturday at the commencement of the partnership in Yola.
Bakari, who was represrnted by Dr Adamu Ijapa, the Head of Public Health Department, said services would be rendered on selected days.
He announced that training of the clinical staff to enhance capacity was also part of the agreement in the partnership.
The chief medical director, who assured patients of effective and efficient service delivery also appealed for the stakeholders’ cooperation during the partnership.
Shehu Aliyu, Chairman of the Clinic’s Ward Development Committee, expressed gratitude to the CMD for honoring the community’s request.
Aliyu also expressed appreciation to Ijapa for driving the partnership’s implementation to reality.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Wubsury Gilsilambe, thanked the CMD and all stakeholders for bringing quality healthcare services to their doorstep.
He said the partnership was a testament to the hospital’s commitment to improving healthcare service delivery and strengthening the community’s partnership.
