The premises of the Lagos House of Assembly is currently guarded by a battery of heavily armed security operatives within and around.
The Nation reports that the situation is not unconnected with the leadership tussle between Hon Mudasiru Obasa and Mojisola Meranda.
While 36 lawmakers are backing Meranda who they elected when Obasa was away, the latter has laid claim to the speakership saying his purported removal was not constitutional.
Some lawmakers have arrived, including Meranda for the plenary slated for 1pm.
